my wife and I took digital pics with a HP smartphoto mp, digital zoom, optical zoom camera. It turned outs that most of the pics were underexposed when we transfered them to the PC. They look JUST fine when previewing on the cameras display, but when we view them on the computer, browsers, Corel Paint Shop Pro, etc...most pics seems like we were standing in the dark. I played around with Corel and Im not smart enough to figure out what to do with the gamma red, blue, green, brightness, contrast, etc. Please help us salvage our vacation photos...once again, they are fine on the cameras preview screen, the PC is where they get messed up....I tried Corel paint shop pro and the auto fix utilities..they didnt help, although the brightness helped somewhat....thanks

Observe whats going on when the tv cuts ON. is it right after it cut off? if so, did anything strange happen when it cut off, another remote being used, a flickering light? if so, then somethings interfering with it. If not, you more than likely have a problem with the standby power supply inside the tv on the main Printed Circuit board. I have seen this before, the voltage will drop, cause the tv to BEGIN to power off, then a few seconds later the power supply regains its voltage and brings the tv back on. It could also be something in the Horizontal Output circuit of the tv, partially shutting downappears the tv cut off to protect from something overloading or malfunctioning, and when the circuit thinks the problem is gone, it opens back up the horizontal circuit. brYou may want to take it to a shop, the last two scenarios can be damaging to your set if left untreated.

One thing my uncle showed me and hes a total guru on household electricals hes made his fortune on the design and manufacture of them starting work out of his garage is that over the years dust can build up on the tube having got through the vents. Because the tube gets hot it burns the dust and turns it into carbon. The carbon acts as a conductor and distracts some of the signal away from the screen. He fixed an old TV of mine by taking off the back and carefully hoovering all the dust and carbon out. It worked a treat too!brbrAnother possibility is that the screen is going. As you probably know, its not just bog standard glass but its got special phosphor dots all over it and over the years the phosphor dots can wear out.brbrHeres a little information on brightening a CRT which should also work for your TV. The magnets in the speakers certainly did cause the problem..... If they are external, try removing them to a location further from the set!brbrIf they are internal to the set, then it sounds as if they are not very well sheilded from the tube..... a TV repair shop may be able to do this for you.... Please dont try to do it your self as the EHT voltages to a TV tube are very high!brbrCheck if your TV set has a manual Deguasse function and use that several times, as it may help! The deguasse function creates a magnetic field which is then reduced to nil, this as the effect of cancelling any magnetic problems that may have affected the tube by, say, turning the TV to face a different direction! A TV set should autodeguasse at switch on anyway, but some TVs have a seperate function which sometimes works better!brbrI dont recomend running magnets about the screen..... The first thing I have to say is that the Wii is very fun even my parents and their friends liked it If you think your son deserves it, then you should definitely buy him one. The Wii is so easy to use. Nintendo is aiming it at all ages so theyve made it very user friendly.brbrPros Its purely intuitive, your son will be more active since the console requires movement, the games are more directed to kids so you dont have to worry about an overload of violent games, its small and compact, fun to play with other people, it comes with Wii Sports which is a very good introduction to the capabilities of the Wii, it comes with a Wii remote and nunchuck so you can play it immediately.brbrCons It doesnt play DVDs, the Wii remote batteries dont have a very long life so you have to buy a backup of batteriesor buy a charger, like i said its fun to play with friends so you have to spend money on other controllers, the graphics arent the best around but you can say they are almostDVD quality but personally i dont have a problem with this as much as other people since its all about the gameplay.brbrMy opinion is that it is worth what it costs since they made the controls so easy, fun, and accurateplus it already comes with a game. The Nintendo Wii costs . You would NOT be better off to buy a different console since this is the most familyoriented console released theyre aiming it for families, other consoles are WAY WAY WAY to expensive like the PS being and the Xbox being . His phone will have to be reset to the original settings. If he cant even get the settings screen, it will have to be done by somone who can flash his phone. Customer service cant help him either because once you change your lockcode, they wont know it either.
