Question
My telly is inch screen, but is advertised as inch. Its Samsung, what can I do?
How do I measure the tv, is it diagonal or across and does the refer to screen size?
Answer
The measurement is diagonal. It is not the overall dimension of the television, it is only the screen size.brbrYou may actually measure something smaller than the advertised screen size. This is because measurements given in inches include the nonvisible margins of the screen, which are normally obscured by the frame around it. The difference will not be as much as quot though.brbrIf the screen size is given in centimetres with a V after the number eg V then it is indicating the true visible diagonal size of the screen. This is a much better an more honest way of doing it, which is why manufactures dont quote that these days.
