My tv colour has gone weird round the speakers people look green! can it be fixed?
I think it is something to do with magnetism but knowing that doesnt help sort the bloody picture out. Yes it was a cheap as chips TV, but I still would prefer not to buy a new one as it works fine apart from that

The magnets in the speakers certainly did cause the problem..... If they are external, try removing them to a location further from the set!brbrIf they are internal to the set, then it sounds as if they are not very well sheilded from the tube..... a TV repair shop may be able to do this for you.... Please dont try to do it your self as the EHT voltages to a TV tube are very high!brbrCheck if your TV set has a manual Deguasse function and use that several times, as it may help! The deguasse function creates a magnetic field which is then reduced to nil, this as the effect of cancelling any magnetic problems that may have affected the tube by, say, turning the TV to face a different direction! A TV set should autodeguasse at switch on anyway, but some TVs have a seperate function which sometimes works better!brbrI dont recomend running magnets about the screen..... Youll just create more problems and probably ruin the tube forever!brbrIf all else fails..... Its a choice between green people and a new TV!brbrHope thisis of Help!
